Carpe Diem Marquees and Events Ltd is a small business in Kirkcaldy, KY1 2YX. We are Professional and innovative family run business and our goal is to continue to grow our business in the events industry.
The Florist reports directly to the owner or a manager. They are responsible for creating floral arrangements, following the owner's design plans and maintaining quality control in the floral shop. The Florist must keep current on the latest floral trends and have a solid understanding of technical floral terminology. This position requires knowledge about plant and flower care and following designs.
A successful candidate will be part of a very hard working team. At times as part of the role you will be required to help with administration Work and warehouse work in the marquee side of the business too so we are looking for someone who can be versatile.
Responsibilities:
- Design and arrange floral displays appropriate for the occasion.
- Prepare floral arrangements and wreaths.
- Deliver flowers to customers.
- Provide assistance to the Marquee part of the business in other areas of the Building.
- Provide assistance and advice to customers
- Assist with retail store cleaning efforts in between delivery runs.
- Be available to work weekends especially during the busy summer season. .
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8 per week
Salary: £9.50-£12.00 per hour
