Sales and Marketing Assistant


 

Grow Gardens is a small but growing, award winning, landscaping business based near Ely, Cambridgeshire. We have a dedicated team of landscapers building beautiful gardens for clients in and around Ely, Cambridge, Newmarket and beyond.

We are looking for a new team member to join Grow Gardens. This new role will be responsible for all sales and marketing within the business, and will help us take the business to the next level.

Wage: Basic pay of £12 per hour for a minimum of 8 hrs per week to complete the base marketing duties. Additional hours available depending on work load/number of sales enquiries to deal with.

Sales commission of 3% of the total job value to be paid when confirmation of the project sold. (Potential £30k per year or more)

Duties will include:

Marketing:

Work in conjunction with our outsourced marketing services

Develop the Grow Gardens Brand

Make new connections with other garden designers

Produce email newsletters, blogs, and social media content

Assist with networking events

Generate good quality leads

Manage the recording of all leads and data tracking

Develop new marketing strategies and opportunities

Sales:

Follow up on all leads and manage qualification process

Arrange site meetings and design consultations

Receive site visit data from the operations director and manage the quote process

Keep track of the design process if a design is required

Follow through once the quotation is complete to make the sale

Assist with the review of sales literature to elevate the brand and message

Working from home or our office near Ely, or a combination. Remote working is acceptable, but you may need to come to occasional staff meetings in person. Possibility to be based in a Cambridge location in the future.

The ideal candidate will have:

An excellent phone manner and be comfortable conversing with potential customers

Excellent organisational abilities

Good computer literacy skills

The ability to work autonomously using your own initiative

Previous experience is not essential, but you will need to display your understanding of the landscaping industry, and sales and marketing techniques in general

A first round of interviews will be conducted via Zoom, with an in-person interview to follow.

The role will be starting immediately once the right candidate has been chosen.
